Correct me if I'm wrong: A mounted warrior on a charge gets knockdown (I know thats right), BUT in the fight phase, before wounding, does he get a +1 on attacks or +1 on fight value? I played a friend who said they get an extra fight value, and as I dont have the rulebook no more... So, he played as a captain on horse gets F5 and 4 attacks. Or does he have F4 and6 attacks?? Sorry if this breaks any rules! |

Charging cavalry models don't get extra Fight. They benefit from knock-down and an Extra Attack. Plus, knocked down models count as trapped and take two strikes per Attack. I just saw a lot of people openly write about Imrahil's and Amdur's stats, so I don't think this will make GW upset. Hope I was to any help |

So, a powerhouse hero like Boromir gets 8 attacks if he wins the fight on a charge? Thats more than most monsters!! |

These get doubled, as his oponent is knocked to the ground and thus trapped. He can kill up to 4 models, but he gets to strike twice at each model, for a total of 8 strikes. |

But he gets 8 strikes if there is only one enemy in the fight? |

The trickey part is the wounds. Let's say a normal rider of rohan (1 attack) charges 2 uruk-hai and wins the combat with his 2 attack. (bonus from charging). Then you roll 4 dice, 2 6's and a 1 and a 4. 2 kills right? Wrong. The rohan player just cheated. You MUST roll the dice seperatly. 1 attack has 2 chances to wound. So you roll 2 dice, get 2 6's and kill the first uruk. Then roll 2 more dice for your second attack and roll a 1 and a 4. No kill. |

because being knocked down gets you double strikes, and you cant apply half a strike |

neither, so you can counter it by charging him with a cavalry/troll/monster |

Cavalry negates both extra attack and knock to the ground. Against a monster you do still get extra attack but not knoock to the ground, unless the cavalry is a monstrous mount. |

Phoenix1986 wrote: neither, so you can counter it by charging him with a cavalry/troll/monster This is partialy false since if you countercharge with a troll/monster the cavalryman doesn't lose his extra attack and even the knocked-down bonus is retained against the initial target. |
