Why is Bandobras Took on the Wanderers in the Wild army list and not the Shire list?

That doesn't make much sense. As far as I know he lead Hobbits at the Battle of Greenfields and I've never seen any reference to him wandering off. This is probably just a case of decisions being made by GW staff that don't have much care for the details in LotR but rather just mine it for characters or ideas to fit what they want to design. They may have wanted to have another named Hero for that list and figured this would be a good one since it's not in the films so no one knows or cares about him. :-P

Isn't there also an issue with Gildor not appearing on the list that's most appropriate for him?

I hope they've just made a mistake and do actually care for keeping to Tolkien's work. And Gildor's in the right list, just not the people who are meant to follow him.

Thanks for clarifying that. I don't have the Free Peoples book yet but have read around here the difficulty using his special rule within the Warband structure of that book.
