Anyone here familiar with the Great Beast of Gorgoroth rules? If so, PM me and we'll have a chat.

Let me quote this from the forum guidelines which everyone should read.

Quote:
e. Members cannot post official Games Workshop rules or stats on this forum. Doing so will lead to a warning.

Something like this could get the forum into a lot of trouble with GW. All down to copyright stuff. Best bet is to buy the sourcebook, there are lots of places that sell it cheaper than GW.

He wasn't asking for anyone to post anything publicly in the forums. I have been e-mailed stats by members of this forum and i'm pretty sure it's relatively ok, although it should only be done in times of DIRE NEED! I'm probably massively incorrect but there is nothing GW can do about private sharing through e-mails etc.

Exactly. Which is why I kindly asked someone to PM them to me.

I'll quote this then from another of your threads.

If you want to PM each other about this stuff I'm sure nobody will know or care, but please don't initiate it publicly.

This is how it goes, i think:

If you start a thread asking for someontp post stats, or to ask someone to PM tyou starts it is illegal.

If you do not start a thread, but simply PM the person, you are okay.

Ok I am going to edit the first post to make it less illegal.

If you post anything containing the rules etc anywhere, it is illegal. The point is that with PM, nobody knows you are doing it. So, yes, is the short answer.

So buy the appropriate rule book, or find someone with one that you can look at. We are not allowed to give you rules; whether in a post, or in a PM. :)

Okay, stop it.

Legally we are in a grey area, but the RULES OF THIS BOARD are clear and here you will play by our rules or go elsewhere. You DO NOT ask for stats, not publicly or ask for them as PM. Of course we can't know what people are posting to each other privately, but you will not cause potential trouble with GW by asking them on a public forum. And if you think you are "making it less illegal" you are already breaking OUR rules and should stop.

Thread locked.
