Hello all, can anyone tell me where to find the stats for the Grimhammers? I did a search but all I can find is that they're not very good.

Yes they are lovely models. You can buy them and use them as Khazad Guards :) .

They cost the exact same as a dwarf warrior is you give one a 2handed weapon and throwing weapons. I wouldn't say they're useless, but they aren't as good as Khazad Guards, who are pretty OP, so I'm happy abou that.

How does the classic saying go...

The English Navy runs on Rum
The French Navy runs to Port

They're putting them up for some, but not for all of them.

 Never heard that before...Just like the new French tanks. They have 5 gears; 4 reverse and 1 forward, in case the enemy attacks from the rear!
:E

Anyways....

In the interests of fairness and balance for our French members, I must point out that we English once hung a monkey in Hartlepool during the Napoleonic Wars as punishment for spying for the French.

Grimmer hammers are great when supported by dwarf spears.
You use the pick and get +D3 strength (and if you lose you go from 6's to would to 5's and occasionally 4s)

If you are in a combat where you have 2 or 3 other models in the combat but hte enemy is no surrounded then you use the hammer and knock them down so the others get double strikes.

Throwing weapons are nerfed but not dead!

After trying them out in a game or 2, I can now say they're not as bad as many people give them credit for. I agree they're costly, and in any way worse then Khazad Guard.

However the throwing axes make them pretty interesting, and they can be quite effective due to them. 12 Throwing axes on the charge is pretty neat, and generally ends up having around 2-3 enemy casualties before the fight even starts, making them outnumber any other unit it charges. Also you can use this 'free attack' every turn.

Granted they are a lot less point efficient in combat due to their -1 on the duel roll, but if they do manage to win they can hit quite hard. I used Dwalin leading the unit, and it was a pretty neat wrecking ball, although still being an expensive one at that.

They don't have to use they're 2handed weapons, so the-1 to win is a moot point. Did you play with the-1 to hit if the move rule?
