You're not allowed to ask for stats here.

He's not asking for stats, he's asking if they exist yet. The answer is "no", unfortunately. I imagine there will be a sourcebook, or they really will release a new rule book every year. The way some of this stuff is coming out, it's pretty clear the switch from 2 movies to 3 kind of messed up their schedule.

Correction, there is a stats for Thror and also Thrain, I dont know if there is his rules on the small book, but in the big one certaintly there is thror, thrain, erebor dwarfs, grim hammer captain and grim hammers and all good/evil models faction that came out of this hobbit movie, even some that didn´t came out except the forward movies :)

Nothing on GW website suggests that. Just a rumor.

Even if they did put the rules in the box, that still doesn't help you in the slightest. To make a legitimate warband out of them, you need to include a hero. Can you name a Dale army hero for me? :P

My guess is we'll get a Dale Captain next month, or they can be led by dwarf heros. Although I just thought, maybe they'll get a mercenary type rule where they can be taken in a warband from any good army, which would explain why GW made the point of saying they sale to for off wars.

My local GW manager says that the rules for Warriors of Dale will be in the box according to his brief.

In that case, my bad. Did he give any indication as to what they would be like? Stats/special rules?

He had no idea sorry. Just said he gets a picture plus some facts and descriptions of the models. The bit about rules being included was bolded apparently.

That would be logical, customer friendly and the "right thing"...three things I wouldn't hold your breath on.

It's so cute to see a dream just before it's squished.

Bound to be a Warriors of Dale Command set out in April, i am hoping for a Grim Hammer set as well.

I guess the Stats in the box is a temporary measure until a Source Book is released

I'll happily wager you a box of Warriors that the rules will be in the box :D

Under GW's old pricing I might have taken you up on that. :P

Seriously though, any game company should either make profiles freely available or, baring that, should provide the profiles and rules needed to play a model WITH the model when you purchase it. I have always believed it was very poor form that someone would spend (ever increasing) money on something but not have the profiles for it. I thought GW had turned a corner a bit with WotR when they were putting the base profile data on their website but alas...

If they are actually starting to provide what I would think is basic customer value ("I just coughed op $50 for these things, and you won't even tell me how to play them?!?!?") then I will have a much better view of the company. If this is just an exception (Men of Dale only) then I'll chalk it up as they simply didn't get their stuff together earlier and this is just damage control.
