So, I was thinking about playing a scenario that involved sentries, but I'm a little confused on how they're supposed to work.
Just as a little context, I unfortunately (due to monetary complications) have not been able to pick up a Hobbit SBG rule-book (big or small), so I have to resort to using MoM rule-book.
Anyway, on page 73, the rules for sentries' movements are explained. I understand what happens if you roll a 1, and I'm pretty sure I have a pretty solid grasp on what happens when you roll a 2-5. However, it's when you roll a 6, "Patrol", that I'm more confused on. The rule-book says: "The Sentry moves normally". Seems pretty straightforward, but what is "normally"? Does that mean the sentry's player uses him as he wished, charging and shooting and whatnot? That seems like some strange actions for a sentry who is merely patrolling. Thanks a bunch!

It just means the player who is fielding the piece moves them under normal sentry rules, so this way even if you lose priority you can control your own piece on a roll of a 6
