After a long time, we are going to play SBG again. My question is that where can we find the latest character stats? We play with the old LOTR SBG's system, not with the Hobbit.
Legions of Middle Earth is good choice?

Legions doesn't have any stats, just (outdated) armylists and points values.

Profiles can be found in the five sourcebooks (Kingdoms of Men, Free Peoples, Mordor, Fallen Realms, Moria & Angmar). Make sure it's the Mordor sourcebook (with a pic from the movies on the cover), not the supplement (miniatures on the cover) released a few years before that. The sourcebooks were released with the LotR book in mind and before the Hobbit rules, so are compatible (although they still are to be used with the Hobbit rules as well).

I'm confused why ppl keep saying "we play LOTR not the Hobbit" it's the same game, just the most current rules update

I see. Well, maybe we will learn the updated rules sometimes.

They are quite fantastic, certainly add to the epicness of the game with cinematic moments brought on with new weapon special strikes and monster attacks. I highly advise trying to get a hold of the rules. In fact, I talked to a 40k player and he said that out of the three GW games, Hobbit had the best rule system!
