Hi, I am not sure but do mounts benefit from the woodland creature rule? It's stated in the Galadhrim Knights profile in the fleetfooted rule that they do but isn't mentioned in the Knights of Rivendell profile that they have the rue applied to them nor in the rule book is woodland creature and mount mentioned. So I ask is the Galadhrim Mount the only mount to benefit from woodland creature then? |

If the rider has WC, then it applies to the mount aswell. |

That's great to know, thanks! Then the difference between the Rivendell knights and the Galadhrim knights are the extra defence and lance and 1 more point vs extra move and armoured horse. I need a cavalry ally for my Thranduils Halls army, so which would be the best one to add Rivendell or Galadhrim? |

I'd say the Galadhrim because D6 is waisted on most elite evil units, and because an armored horse can only be wounded on a 6 by S2 bows. |

Rivendell by a mile. Bows and Lances are better than 2 inches of movement in my view. D6 is also not to be sniffed at with the common blue vs blue format emerging. Also vs mordor orcs, men and goblins, D6 is better. Only vs uraks and morannons is it not so. Hard hitting heavy cavalry is always my choice over light cavalry. Heavy cavalry with lances will change the game with an average charge. Light cavalry will not have this impact on a normal turn. You have to hope for a good roll |

admittingly the extra 2inch movement would be great for out manoeuvring other cavalry, however as someone who has a fiefdom army, i know the value of lances and D6 it just makes the knights of dol amroth nearly impossible to kill. I think the deciding factor is the 100% bow limit that rivendell knights can take, it just adds even more arrows to my mirkwood rangers and is going to cause a world of pain - 30 S3 shots hitting on 3s will hurt |
