The title says it all, can you use a might point to alter a hero's heroic strike?

Nope, in the Hobbit book the list of things you can use Might to boost is exhaustive. Any other exception where you can use Might says so specifically in the model/rule's description.

I would argue no as the rules state: "Unless specifically state, Might cannot be used to modify other rolls." (Meaning other than the examples in the following list). The D6 roll to increase the hero's fight in a Heroic Strike is not included in the list nor is it mention in the section on Heroic Strikes that Might can be used to alter this roll.
(I've also checked the FAQs and can't find anything relevant on this matter.)
I hope that helps.
