Me and Amy were playing one of the intro scenarios in escape from goblin town.

When bilbo has the ring on its -1 to the enemy models courage for every so many inches away if they want to charge.

Now goblins are only courage two as we all very well know.. Can their courage become 0 or even a minus figure? All I could see at a quick glance was I needed to score 10 on 2d6 + my courage Value.

We played it as it stopped at 0 and I needed 10 on the 2d6

Thanks all!

no brainer. you are supposed to -1 to the roll, not the courage. so yeah, 6 inches is -6 to the roll,
so if your roll two 6's = 12 then subtract 6, = 6,
then add the Gobs courage, you fail.
hope it helps, you just mistook the minus one as to the courage and not the courage roll.

So a cav unit could feasibly move ten inches and try and charge the bearer, but would never pass the test to do so with current rules (I doubt any special rule will over ride this in the future though.)

Ahh thanks! My own fault for not reading it right ;)

And to think I used to be good at this game!
