Post subject:  Spliting heroic fights
So I had a game yesterday wood elves vs Orcs and his orc captain called a heroic fight. I had priority so I get to decide how to split the fights up. But his Orc Captain called a heroic fight so does he decide how to split the heroic fight up?

It looked like this with the middle Orc touching both Elves.

OC--O--O

E=Wood elf
O=Orc
OC=Orc captain

So will the middle orc benefit being part of the heroic fight or do I get to decide how to split the fights because I have priority?

Player with priority always decides how the combats are matched up. It is the last line of the heroic combat rules and is one benefit to having priority. In this case, the person should have tried best to keep the orc from touching both elves. since he moved second (not having priority) he could have done this to save the trouble. Since he failed to do this, his orc can be moved into the other combat (with the other orc) and his odds with the heroic combat are less and perhaps a waste of might. Live and learn though, only a game.

Thanks a lot. We went with the Orc player decides. My elf rolled a lucky 6 anyway :lol:
