Just a quick query on this ability...

I have always played this that if Legolas can see it, he can shoot it... but the issue came up where the "Target Model", was a cavalry model.

Now I had assumed I could automatically choose to strike the rider (or horse - my choice), but it was suggested the rule states the 'target'... and since the target is a targeted model, which is a cavalry model, I would still have to roll to see if the rider or mount were in fact hit.

Thoughts?

This has actually been a large point of debate upon the FB group.

Currently with a strict RAW approach Leggy must roll to determine who is hit. However GW has already stated that with the next FAQ this will be directly addressed and Leggy will be able to select the rider or mount as obviously intended

as he should :) he is the best archer in game

He has to randomise. But as others have said, that is likely to change when the new FAQ's eventually come out.

I don't see why he wouldn't be able to hit either rider or mount if he so chose.....yes the most elite archer in the game. As far as the rule goes....it is ambiguous and that only makes me think even more he should be able to choose any target.
