Here's an odd one:

Is it game-legal to have a warband of infantry led by a mounted captain?

Could a mounted Glorfindel (for example) lead a small band of High Elves?

Yes, nothing to stop the warband leader being mounted.

you can do the opposite as well if you like. ie a mounted warband and a captain on foot!

Not that i recomend it, but it's game legal!

You can also have your warband be mixed betwixt cavalry and infantry, which is the way to go if you have a captain on foot, but still want some cavalry in that warband.

Is perfectly legal. If you take a look in "army help" you'll see that many players do this.
