There is a FAQ that says: Q: If a Hero call a Heroic Strike and calls/is involved in a sucessful heroic combat[...] This sentence seems to allow two different heroic actions in the same phase (Heroic Strike and Heroic Combat). However, in the main rulebook (p59) it says that a Hero can benefit of a Heroic action at the start of the phase. I'm not sure if only one or more than one! What do you think? Thank you! |

As per the GBHL community FAQ, a hero may only call one heroic action per phase but may benefit from other heroes heroic actions. Worth noting that this is GW approved so as close to official that you can get. |

It can be quite good if you can pull it off. I was playing a Helm's Deep themed army with Aragron, Theoden and Haldir, Defender of Helms Deep as my heroes. I was able to get the 3 of them on an opponents captain, trapping him. Aragorn and Haldir both heroic struck and Theoden called a heroic combat. His captain was also heroic striking. I won the strike off and the combat and due to the trapping killed the captain easy. Now I had Theoden move on and charge 2 spear supporting models. Aragorn, now fight 10 charged another captain and spear support. Haldir, now fight 8or9, charged a half troll. Theoden knocked down and killed both, Haldir killed his half troll and the captain fighting Aragorn could now not call a heroic strike to try to tie the fight and died to Aragorn. Ended the turn with my heroes killing 2 captains, a half troll and 2 other troops. It was also not just that they did this but they also saved a bunch of my troops from being trapped and outnumbered. This isn't going to happen very often but you can get some crazy wombs combo things going with that. |
