Since it says at any point in his move phase, you can roll does that mean if he is based he can still use his rule or is that effectively canceled with him being charged. |

I think being charged stops him from using it, just like being charged stops you using magic which you can use at any point in the move phase. |

The only way to stop this from happening is that you need to find a way to get bombur away from base contact. Post edited for antagonistic language Dr G |

I'm pretty sure that the good Farmer was just expressing his interpretation of the rules. No need to be rude. |

Only way to counter bombur its to keep bombur locked in combat, not to let him move and lock in combat as well the intended targets to avoid them being in touch. If you do have a troll, plz throw bombur away, even if you dont kill him, generally the throw S+ the D6 should be enough to make him waste 1 turn of movement back to where he was and therefore avoid being in contact that fast. Basically the point was I was confused because only magic would be stopped by bassle contact and it is clearly in his special rule section so it was one of those gray area things I just wanted clarity on. Tough. |

I've cleaned the thread up a little to remove the completely unnecessary antagonistic language. Please think carefully about the content of your posts when debating with other users. Thanks Dr G |

Good work Dr Grant. I asked Adam Troke about the rule and he agreed the actual wording isn't clear but the intention was that it was during Bombur’s movement, so if he can’t move (because he’s been charged) then he can’t use the ability. |

I agree, the intention is very clear in my view and the spell-casting analogy is a good one. |

Yeah the wording was unclear to a few I talked to that's why I asked it here. |

If there is a disagreement between players in the rules and no FAQ which addresses the dispute the standard answer is to resolve it by rolling a D6. In a roll of 1 to 3 it goes with one player’s interpretation on 4 to 6 it goes with the other player’s interpretation. There will always be some issues not clear in the rules or covered by an FAQ document. |

Yeah basically that's what we did and the roll came out in favor of what Dr. Grant was saying. |
