Hello all,
I've come to realize that at certain points I've misinterpreted the rules for spear supporting. Initially we resolved all supporting attacks at the supporting models fight, strength, special rules, etc. Which I know now is wrong.
Some questions that I hope people could clarify:
1) All attacks from each side in a fight are resolved at the highest fight value involved from that side?
2) Do supporters use their strength or the model they are supporting or their own?
3) If I have an elf supporting a feinting warrior, does the elf also get to re-roll 1s?
4) If I have a spear supporting a two hander, does the spear get -1? 4a) Do I roll separately? 4b) Does this apply for piercing strikes or other special strikes or do they all get bonus strength?
5) If I have a spear supporting a burly model, do all strikes get +1 to wound? 5a) Do I roll dice separately or still together?
6) If my supporter has a poisoned spear, do I re-roll all 1s to wound or just his?
Any help, or help with clarifying examples will be appreciated. Besides our one Uruk player, these situations come up quite often and as the arbiter of rules I'm not really sure what's correct. Some posts seem to indicate that you add, for all intents and purposes, one attack from the supporter to the combat and use the highest fight. This gets complicated with feints, poisoned, burly, 2hand, piercing, different strengths, etc.
