The Weapon Master rule has a second part: the model in never considered unarmed. So, should Dwalin fall victim to a Gundabad Shaman's Shatter (or if he is disarmed by special rules or whatever), he would have no penalties. However, yes. For 99% of the time, having Weapon Master and no 2 handed weapons means you'll gain no advantage from such rule. |

To be fair, as stated, in this instance, it's predominantly to prevent him from being considered unarmed at any point (through spells and scenarios etc). That being said, it's also because he's a master of weapons and, later in his timeline (and therefore a new profile), he does get hold of a two-handed weapon. |
