Post subject:  SCENARIO-- Retreat from Osgiliath

DESCRIPTION: This scenario represents Faramir's retreat from Osgiliath after it is overrun by orcs.

Participants:

GOOD:
Faramir on horse
Gandalf the White an Shadowfax
18 Knights of Minas Tirith

EVIL:
4 maxed Ringwraths on Fell beast
15 orc archers

LAYOUT: The good warriors (except for gandalf) begin 10" from the far edge of the board. Gandalf is not on the field yet. At the end of each turn, roll a D6. on a 5 or better, Gandalf enters the field on the edge opposite to where the warriors began. They have priority the first turn. The evil side begins touching the same edge as the good warriors.

OBJECTIVES:
The good force exit the field via the other edge of the table. The evil side is trying to prevent this.

Major Victory/Defeat
The good side exits the table, Faramir and Gandalf are alive, and their force is not broken.

Minor Victory/Defeat
The good force exits the table, the force is not broken.

SPECIAL RULES:
Petrified Steeds: The steeds of the men of gondor are terrified by the supernatural presences and winged monsters pursuing them. At the beginning of each Good move phase, take a courage test for every mounted good model (excluding Gandalf). If they fail, the rider is thrown. Roll on the Thrown rider chart as normal.

The White Wizard: The arrival of Gandalf is a welcome relief to the men of Gondor. When he enters the field, increase the courage of all good models by 1 (max courage 7).

Blinding Light: The Fell Beasts ridden by the Nazgul are not used to the light. Therefore, Gandalf's "cast blinding light" spell cuts all Fell Beast's move in half for the turn that it is cast. This can be used once per game.

The Defenders of Osgiliath: The orcs, having just taken osgiliath, are not keen to venture far from it. Therefore, The orc archers May not move foreward during the game. However, They may shoot and volly as normal.

What does everyone think? C&C welcome.

Ok First off, there is a scenario made by GW similar to this, in the Return of the King source book(or is it rule book)? :?, which is not nearly as good as yours. This is very well done. knowing that youu never read this scenario. I like the petrified horses rule alot. Great Job

i think the scenario goes alright it would be good if games workshop done rangers on horse to show rangers fleeing as well which would make this scenario even better why dont u do the thing where the dice goes 5+ 4+ 3+ 2+ as the turns go along.
