The soldiers who patrol the perimeters of towns and camps alike. They can be fielded by all Mannish teams, such as Gondorians and Easterlings. Nightwatch Guard Man (8 points) F 3/4 S 3 D 4 A 1 W 1 C 4 Wargear: Light Armour, Sword Bow - 1 pt Spear - 1 pt Special Rules: It's dark out there... No Nightwatch can go more than 6 inches outside of the camp/town. This reflects their sense of responsibility towards their patrol route. Besides, who knows what goes on outside at night? Nightwatch Captain Man (55 points) F 4/4 S 4 D 5 A 2 W 2 C 5 M 2 W 1 F 1 Wargear: Light Armour, Sword, Horn Bow - 5 pt Special Rules: It's dark out there... See Nightwatch Guard Horn Whenever an enemy model comes within 12 inches of the Captain the controlling player rolls a die. If it is a 4+ he sees the enemy model and will blow the horn. This alerts all nearby guards who will run (9 inches) to his assistance. If there's anything you feel should be edited, feel free to point it out to me! |

Is there a scenario and special rules for these guards? looks like they would fit a 40k kill team game, but for LotR! |

Not playing or even having 40K, I have no idea what it's like. The scenario would be sort of a raid thing, one team (Good OR Evil) has to get into the enemy camp and kill some heroes and X amount of men. There was one of those in the Pelennor Fields (or whatever it ws called) rulebook I think. |

I should point out that a Mannish Hero should have a Defence of 5 with light armour. The profiles are alright, but why do we NEED them? Convince us! |

Courage is too high, beating a basic WoMT or Easterling. Any reason for this? |

Well, it was to reflect the fact that they won't leave their positions no matter what. But come to think of it, the special rule does seem to negate that. Fear of the dark . |

guess i should point out that the captain has only courage 4 like the basic nightwatch. IMO you should raise it a point, so he will(like most other captains) have a point more than the "rank and file". for the rest i dont see anything wrong with them. |
