Today I played a large battle. It was 2v2 and each player controlled a 500 pt force. One of the match-ups on the board ended up being a bunch of Army of the Dead warriors versus my Uruk-hai. I noticed that the Army of the Dead is very effective once they win the fight. Luckily, my teammate had an entire warband of beserkers and I had two myself. That was how we defeated the dead, but without the Beserkers, I don't think I would have done very well there. On the other side of the board, I had a Isengard troll, who I rushed in a round or two too late. He killed Gimli with the help of Sauromans "immbolize", but nothing else.
What else could I have done with the troll? If he had a line of regular warriors I would have liked to bowl through them, but that didn't happen.

Well done. the blades of the dead rule actually makes it harder to kill berserkers

As for the ordinary fighting uruk-hai, support each shield with 2 pikes and have a banner hiding behind for 3 attacks and a re roll for each front rower. This will greatly increase your chances of winning the fight against a f3 enemy.\

The isenguard troll is great for taking down warriors and is a lot more arrow proof then the mordor troll.

You should've suppiorted the Beserkers with the pikemen, the AotD would've died even faster. You shouldn't take a Troll against AotD.

I thought pikes couldn't support Beserkers because of their two handed weapons. And yea the troll would have been wounded too easy.

Beserkers don't have to use their two-handed weapons, they can use hand weapons instead.
