Love it, though one question. Why can't the men at arms carry both bow and pike? Uruk-hai can take both xbow and pike. |

made some changes (i mean made own versions of their seige engines as well with the given points accordingly) Well uruk is an uruk, got more S value (means can carry more weight) man is a man I doubt they could carry bow and pike all the same) also remember crossbow need to sit to shoot, bow yu can move and shoot, so the uruk got time for all, place pike on the floor load and shoot, these ones wouldnt be like that... |

The heros are amazing! I also like the option to give men-at-arms bows a lot. But, I think the Prince's guard looks a bit too much like the axeman of Lossarnach, especially because of the halberd... |

Should the Paladin be an Independent hero? i feel like it should, like the Knight of the White Tower. |

Knight of the White Tower isn't an Independent hero. But ahving either the Paladin or Sir Rovalang as an Independent character would be interesting |

Seems like the Paladin ought to be F5; I don't have the books to hand but aren't standard KoDA F4? It's a bit odd that the super-captain KoDA is only F4 too, is all... |

Soo after a while came with some conclusions of this stuff (proxy) I tried... I enjoyed having man at arms with bow, they do not carry pikes or can´t support in fights, but for a D5 with fight 4 I still managed pretty well... they also made up weirdly my front line in some cases cause Imrahil was nearby and that banner effect just lovely. Havent tried yet trebuchet not Avenger bolt thrower Paladins are nice, they aint completly cheap specially mounted and such which can be compared to eomer and theoden and theodred, but they do offer cheapish/mid lvl heroes and some excelent might boost to the army. I tried 2 of those and they are very nice choices to replace main heroes when there are games its risky to field Imrahil, or you just want to create various warbands for diferent functions... They seem to have replaced the DA captains in most cases, for a few more points they are way more flexible either on foot or mounted. I do might think that to not to unvalue the need of fielding captains to lead warbands, I might place paladins with the non warband leading icon, like castellans or easterling dragon knights. By themselves they are deadly... Sir Rovalan its actually fun, bit cheaper than Imrahil but I would field him alot more times as its just an empowered paladin, also have fight 6 and 3/2/2 I didnt excluded him from being a warband by itself as I see this like as I explained on fluff, the order´s champion and the tutor so I think hes like of those characters that are valuable to stay protected rather than showing his prowess in martial feats... I knight hes way stronger on horse, but been liking him fielded on foot of late. The only downside of this guy tis the D6 which makes him squishier than the rest, but still I think hes very decent... Prince´s guard I just tried these on foot using Fountain court guards as proxy Having a "gondor elite unit" with S4 its interesting even knowin g to sacrifice its defence for that, they are flexible in the terms of fighting and helped me a bunch backing up a DA knights with shield line more often than man at arms. Of this I just made an option give to players,o or they go for a 3A line with 2 pikes support, or just 1 line support with more punching. They are pricey but seems they are fundamental on the lines. |
