Very nice dwarves! I'll be following your WIP!

Thanks dpb, I've really enjoyed painting them, they're great models.

I picked up all the new Iron Hills models at Ardacon last weekend but I'm determined to finish off my Erebor stuff before I make a start on them as there's not a lot left (8 warriors, 4 Grim Hammers, both captain, Thror and Thrain) and I don't want it to be left unfinished for ages. Coincidentally, these would put me on exactly 100 models painted this year which would be my most productive year of painting by far.

So far I've got the first 4 warriors done and made a start on my Captain of Erebor who will likely be finished tomorrow or Monday;




I also painted the face on my Grim Hammer captain. Unfortunately, he has a couple casting issues that, while virtually unnoticeable before, make him look a little like the elephant man now he has some paint on him;

Managed to get my Captain of Erebor finished this evening;






Considered doing some gold detailing on the cloth but decided to go with a little gold on the top of the shoulder and leg armour and around the bottom of the axe hafts instead. Next on the table are the last 4 Grim Hammers followed by my Grim Hammers Captain.

Painted up my Grim Hammer Captain this afternoon.





Realised after taking the pictures that I forgot to paint his eyebrows in so they have since been added. I also think I need something to help separate the hammer head from the gloves. It's not as bad in person as in the picture, but they are very similar in colour so I may redo the gloves with a different wash like the shoulders/legs.

Managed to make a start on Thrain this evening and got his skin and hair all but finished;





Made an attempt to get his tattoo in but in the end I settled for something that looked vaguely like the right shape.
