I have had the idea of creating Warg Mauraders the same way. After seeing yours it's time to make it happen! Loving the bases as well :)

Thanks for the kindness guys!

I've just finished painting my Elrond model after being inspired by Scib's painting scheme. It turned out a littlebit different but I went all-in on trying something new for the basing.
My goal was to create something that would look like Elrond is standing in Rivendell. Not sure if I'm 100% done with it yet, but for now I can't think of any additions... Maybe someone here has any ideas?

As for the dwarves. I also gave them some love.
I worked on a snowy ranger, a vault warden shield bearer, and another khazad guard. Experimenting a bit on creating snow on a base.
I also added some matt varnish to the ranger to try it out... Turned out it's pretty glossy! :O I didn't know that!!! So I'm still open to tips or suggestions to get a better looking protective layer over my miniatures since right now I don't want to continue using this one from Vallejo.

Apart from the dwarves I also worked on my very first Hobbit archer. This was much fun since, once again, I could try out a new way of basing.

Finally an update on the Warg Marauders I've been working on.
They're not all done yet, but as you can see progress is being made.
I'm not so sure yet about the 'eye' mark on one of the rocks. It didn't turn out great but I didn't have time to redo the rock yet...
My favorite one is the one that has black goblins on it with gray right feet. I'm very happy with that 'prowling' pose.

Well... That's it for the update again.
I'm curious to see your reactions. Please don't forget to give me some feedback on Elrond's base or the protective varnish for the miniatures.

Thanks for checking out!

I like the eye mark on the rock, I would say "keep it" :)

Thanks!
Once I'll get around finishing painting enough models for a decent army list I'll have to start checking the rules again. Once I got that covered I'll start showing up at the gaming tables there. ;) I just don't want to play with unpainted miniatures like I did years ago. It just feels wrong. :D
But it is the store where I usually buy my paints. Though I've never been in the basement before.

Let's not be hasty. The time will come. Haha.

Time for another update!

Before I start about the models I've painted (not so many) I'd like to point out that I made a lightbox from a simple cardboard box. I disliked the pictures I posted in the past because a lot of detail went away from the light and angles I made pictures.
I decided it was time to take the photos a bit more serious.

Onwards to the painting:

Dain on Foot:
I've been working on Dain for the November painting challenge.
Painting this model was so much fun. Maybe because of that it turned out so well. I have to say that I'm really proud of this one.

Malbeth the Seer:
Next to Dain I also decided to give my upcoming Arnor army a leader to look up to. Since I personally don't like painting helmets and very much prefer to paint faces with hair - I decided to go for Malbeth. Trying out my very own colour scheme I'm also pretty happy with.

I like the choice of red on Dain, its a nice shade and I think it works well with the silver and gold in there.
