hey guys, a little update.

All that is finished is the blue, the armor, and the purple. Obviously the shield is also still missing. The rest still needs to be done because I am still not sure what colors I want to use.

For the spear, I think i'm going to give the blade a NMM look, just like my previous post.

For the garment under the armor, I was thinking black, but i'm still not sure, what do you guys think?

An elf would not wear black. A mid tone brown could be an option.

What if it was a dark elf? :D

You're right though, i'll look into different pictures with this color scheme to get an idea.

Looking good. I would stick with the white undergarment. Your other elf looks great in that scheme!

Did the undergarment red, the inside of the cloak will be painted white.

I kinda like the red, but i'm still going to try different colors.

The red looks nice, a good choice. I'm struggling a little with the inside of the cloak, but I'm sure it will look better once it's had a few touches to it. Maybe some freehand down the join of the colours could help, I'm thinking of a gold elvish symbolism along the blue part, right next to the white, it could help set it off.

Maybe yellow undergarment? It always looks good next to purple but may be a bit too much for an area this large. Or turquoise with white trim; those often go nicely with purple as well.

lol Rognarr.

I have to get some new colors when I go to GW tomorrow, including white.

I'll be trying out some new stuff in the next week or so.

Got back from GW today and picked up some of the new paints.

I got the two whites, the base and the layer, and a few others.

Here is some work with white:

Since it was the first time I used the base white, it came out a little chalky. That will come to an end though as I get used to the color.

what do you guys think?

Now that's a much more coherent colour scheme! Compared to the previous I prefer it a lot. Well done! :)

Wow that white & blue looks really good! A light brown/bone coloured blade handle would look amazing I think.

Just started painting again after about 6 months.

Just finished this guy. Still need to work on my whites, but overall, i'm happy with this guy after such a long break.

I adore the work on this. The blending is of a very high quality and a great colour scheme.
If anything the dark area could be carried further down the left hand fold to the back of the cloak. It just cuts off to the mid tones a little quick.
I actually didn't think much of these sculpts but this paint job has made me think again.
