Diorama work...fun with magnets. Should I do the large oval base or should I leave it as its own base?

Looking good! Which molding/casting material do you use?

I usually use the cheapest two part silicone product I can find...think my lest batch was Alumilite. Then I use a two part resin: also Alumilite in this picture.

Alumilite has a low tear strength. Send for a Smooth On Catalogue and compare.
I like mold Star 15 slow

I'm reading the above and thinking "send for a catalog"????
How ancient is that? It really brings me back to the days of yore.

Don't they have an online catalog?

Yes, but it is not as easy to reference. The online catalogue requires that you have a bit of knowledge. The printed catalogue is aimed at the new customer.

Looks good! I'm not a huge fan of the red though, it looks a little purple in the shades. I would suggest using Scorched Brown, or whatever it's called now, to shade the cloak, and/or a mix of brown and red. If you want to see what it looks like, you can check out this Easterling I painted a while back. Just scroll down about halfway.

I suppose this is more of a personal preference, but I think it provides a more natural shade.
I really like the hair though, what colors did you use? It's got the perfect amount of yellow to it.
Thanks!

Thank you for the feedback; I'll definitely try some deep browns with the shading aspects of red. My hair mixture was a base of tausept ochre and vomit brown and the. Shaded up with dorm yellow and straight dorm yellow as a thin highlight.
