Looks great so far, I think his hair could use one or two more highlights. |

I think one more highlight would be enough, too many more highlights and it won't look so good. Really nice work so far Hexter. |

The hair might bennefit from another highlight. He looks great so far. I would recommend making his base look cool. Thats just what I think. |

Another Highlight for the hair it is! Quote: would recommend making his base look cool. Thats just what I think.
I'm not sure whether i want to do his base to rewpresent one of the locations he travels to in the books(such as Khazad-dum) or to model it as a woody base representative of Mirkwood? Any ideas would be great! I won't be able to paint his Tuinc for some while because I lack the appropriate greens to acheive the right shade. Thanks for the feedback guys! Cheers, Mike. |

Hi, I'm ashamed to say but of late i've kind of neglected my LoTR minis( ),but i haven't given them up.I do intend to finish my Orc army,so maybe you'll see some more of them soon. However, heres a small update on Legolas: I've fully finished his shirt thingie(havent a clue what its proper name is) and i've decided to paint his shirt in a black colour to add a bit of contrast. Nothing major, but atleast it proves I'm still painting LoTR minis! Cheers, Mike. |

It looks great, the skin is really impressive. His tunic looks a little dark, maybe a lighter base colour. I'm looking forwards to seeing more of your work. |

I agree with DLOEL, a somewhat lighter base color would look a little better in my opinion, but other than that great job Hair and skin are very good |

No, i like the dark color. It gives a nice contrast to the face. (IMO ofcourse) |

The highlights on the brown areas are really smooth, nice work! The darker mid section of the tunic looks a bit odd as the rest of the green is much lighter; perhaps a few more highlights? |

You seem to be getting a grip of the painting. I was wondering though why you haven't attempted the eyes on Legolas ? I think it will make a huge improvement if you did. |

i like how you have given him a realistic, natural appearance. rather then the unusually bright colors used by GW painters. and you are pulling it off excellently. looking forward to him being completed. |
