So some of you may have seen the elves I've been working on over on TLA. For those that haven't, I thought I'd post them here, because apparently they're not too bad.

So I just finished up some Elves - what do you think?
First miniatures I've painted for a good few years! Excuse the rather poor basing, I'm a little out of practice.

I'm really pleased with the way the armour turned out - I managed to get the subtle green hue without it being overpowering.

I'm also quite happy with the way the Elven cloaks turned out - I tried to get them to look like the movie ones, and by adding in small amounts of metallics in each highlight, it gave it that silky look.
I'll add finally that this was my first foray into Vallejo Game Colour paints - the only GW one I used was Burnished Gold, as I particularly like that colour. I'd definitely recommend them as an alternative - Wayland games offers them for under £2 a go, and they come in a cool little dropper bottle, great for mixing colours to make highlights.

I'm hoping to paint up two full warbands of High Elf Spearmen in the next month or so - now I have a paint scheme I like, hopefully they shouldn't take too long!
