Here are some WIP shots of my fiefdom cavalry. They are all made from bits and parts of the Fireforge Tuetonic Knights, Conquest Normans and GW KODA along with Ebob's Swan Knight heads. The KODA will be my Royal Guard for Prince I. The gren blanket horse are Pinneth Gelin and the others have yet to be determined. I have many more figures in the works for this project. Comments? |

Very nice collection of cavalry there and a great use of different miniature elements, the Swan knights in particular look great as well as the banners. I just want to shout, "CHARGE!" |

Are those shields (the round ones) freehands? Because that would really be scary... Very nice on all of them. |

Thanks for the comments. For me, LOTR is all about imagination. Yes GW has a stranglehold on the best LOTR figures ever. And I have thousands of them. But I wanted something personalized and out of the strict GW guidlines (you MUST use GW products or you can't play with us). So, here is what you can do when you allow your love of miniatures and you love of all things LOTR to flourish. The GW stuff is great, but sometimes you need something different to go where your imagination takes you. This is where conversions come into play. Customizing existing figures into your own unique forces. Conversions set your armies apart from the everday sameness of the GW products. An besides that, it's really fun. I would love to see what other are doing to enhance their troops. |
