(needs sound) I've been exploring using film to showcase my models. It's reasonably amateur but I'm getting better, it's only my 4th ever film I've shot and edited. For those that prefer traditional photographs, please enjoy these. For more pictures check out http://taleofpainters.blogspot.co.uk/20 ... -bear.html I'll be posting pairing tutorials soon as well. |

Very cool. Actually bloody brilliant. But it raises lots questions What program did you use? What camera? Go Pro? Man I want one of those. How did you move the camera? How did you do the smoke? Thanks for posting this. |

Adobe Premiere - £299 Canon DSLR 7D - £1200 60mm Macro prime lens - £500 Studio lights on stands - £250 Manfrotto Tripod - £100 Fluid head for tripod - £150 Smoke Machine - £25 This is basically my photography gear that I've built up over the years. I got my 7D for £500 second hand and the 60mm lens I got 2nd hand for £200, still expensive but not as bad as rrp. The adobe premiere software I use for work (designer) so I didn't need to buy that either as most bought licences now allow for uploads to multiple machines. My photography/cinematography hobby makes GW look cheap. |

LOL, you actually used a smoke machine. I would have thought it was a software effect. Looks great. I have an outdoor machine. It would fill my entire basement. How did you get the smooth panning? If I had to guess it almost looked like you rotated the "stage". |

It's easier to put the scene on an electric turntable instead of panning around the subject. Software effects are ok, but i think it's better to try and capture as much in camera as you can. |

And I thought my small hobby for photography was out of hand... seriously though the models looks great, the skin and metal on Beorn/Beorns axe especially. jealous. |

Very nice indeed. I felt like it could have done with a lower viewpoint in a few of the shots just spice things up a bit. Also, thats a bloomin' nice setup you've got running there... I wish I found a 7D for that price when I bought mine. What else do you use the smoke machine for? |

I've just bought a dolly so I can do better panning and zooming in and out shots. I felt the shots were lacking in variety and it got samey quite quickly. I filmed a music video with a couple of friends. We know the band. They're really cool. |
