I used to have a WIP here but I wanted to start anew. Managed to borrow my sister's camera which seems to take far better photos than mine, so I'm actually happy to post some now. To start, here are two of the first models I painted: And then two of my more recent ones. Very happy with the progress I've made if you compare the Isildurs. And a few other miniatures I'm proud of from various points. Grima was the first time I tried painting on a base, mostly because I think I ran out of time to submit for one of these painting challenges! And to finish off, here are my Gondorians from the Tale of Painters which I will mostly be working on for the next few months. Went with a quartered scheme because I felt silver and black was a little dull and wanted to try something knightly and to give them some colour. |

Nice progress buddy! I honestly of them all, like Grima the most....IDK why.....he just caught my eye. I guess he just looks real, and the white skull and brown fur looks beautiful. |

Gondorians in that particular scheme looks fantastic. Good job and good idea EDIT: Excessive quote removed. No need in quoting the entire original post. Thanks. |

Thanks for the kind comments! I think Grima is quite a nice sculpt where you can do a lot of subtle dark colours with some unhealthy contrast and lank hair. He's defeinitely a solid miniature! I'll get some more Gondorian pictures up soonish as I continue my painting progress. I attempted to give some of them facial hair, but not sure how that worked. Faces is my main area that I need to improve on, particularly eyes. I'm very good at the startled look |

I was just thinking about painting up a second in similar style, but I can't remember what paints I used A few more Gondorian things: First off, this is where I drew my Gondorian inspiration from if anyone is curious, with the plan to switch the black with white for the Fiefdoms components. Mounted Faramir. Painted him for the painting challenge, though unfortunately his horse broke. Hence he's not sitting on it properly in these pictures. And the first of my Knights of Dol Amroth. The plan is for each horse to have his own blue/white heraldic pattern, though at the moment I'm leaving the knights themselves uniformly blue. |

I like the way you painted the Warriors of Minas Tirith shields a lot, very unique! Those guys in the picture are from the second Narnia-movie, arn't they? |
