Great work on Smaug and a very clever idea which has been executed well. Nice work on the scenery as well |

This is all really inventive and clever stuff. Are the files on shapeways? |

Most of files are on thingiverse.com, yeggi, shapeways, cgtrader and most of all --> uncle google I was trying with models from googlesketchup but those files are sometimes to simple to use them for printing. F.eg. Orthanck in sketchup looks cool, but when i was converting it for stl lot of elements are missing. |

PLA plastick -prefered, also ABS - but when it's cooling down it shrinks and on big models there is possibility to change dimensions of model and also model can crack. |

Projects like this really do pique my interest for a 3D printer. |

Nice ruins. Does the material paint very well? How much does a 3D printer cost? |

I'm not a good painter, so for me painting f.eg. Mazarbul was ok. But the layers of printing are visible. On thiner layer result is much better - AlikeS Well, prices of printers - depends what You need. For making ruins - the simplest type of printind - FDM - check youtube. Prices starts from 200-400GBP - for new printer, type of students machine, better printers starts from 1000GBP. Of course i'm thinking about prices in Poland |

I really like your Smaug, well done! 3D printing has a lot of potential, too bad it's really expensive right now. |

Very interesting to see the use of new technology - I recognise components of Helm's Deep among the other items. |
