I've had 3 Isengard armies so far. Always repainting the last. A few months ago I made a brilliant deal on an Isengard Army and decided to strip this new acquisition and my old army to make a new one. This was the finished product: everything was done within a few days, Isengard is a very forthcoming army to paint. |

Very nice. I think that you could upgrade your use of grass tufts a bit. They just don't look right. |

Aww, and a lovely Rohan village to trash in the background. I like the contrast between the skin and the bright armour. I don't care for the dark GW armies, so yours is quite appealing to me. I also like the blood splatter, it's not overdone, but actually adds to the army. What did you use for it? I've got a horde of berserkers on the way, so my interest is piqued. |

Thanks guys! The blood is made with Tamiya clear red. Add in a little black or brown and you have the perfect blood effect. |

The start for a Siege of Erebor Dale force under King Brand. I used Perry Hundred Years miniatures. Im not a fan of the eastern look the Hobbit Movie gave Dale. Don't get me wrong they look cool, but nothing like I imagined the warriors of Dale. First of mostly Spearmen: |

Wow, they are totally amazing. I personally love Perrys plastic kits, and this one is superb. Did you convert them (apart from the caps, I can see them being a bit changed). Speaking about styles of warriors I would totally see them as Arnorian infantry. I find making Dale a bit Easternish as pretty according to Tolkiens human tribes setup. But well, de gustibus. |

I am not actually a fun of Perry minis but those are superb! Excellent paintjob too. Could you post a link with which one product are these you posted? |

I always invisioned them like this: I used parts of nearly all Perry hundred years war boxes. But for the spearmen mostly the new Frech Infantry box. And some Fireforge bodys since i ran out of gambeson/aceton armoured bodies. PM me if you need more details. |

I love those Warriors of Dale! I always like it if people use historical models to represent warriors in Middle-earth, and you picked some good ones! When I saw them during the release, they seemed to be too modern for Middle-earth to my tastes, but they actually look very fitting. Is the shield design a sticker by the way? It looks very good! The painting and bases are marvelous too, by the way! |

Thanks! Nope the heraldy is a freehand. And not a very good one..... I just wanted to show Erebor in the left corner, beneath it the city of Dale, the Arrow, and Esgaroth and the lake with the river running between the three settlements. And on the bottom the Dwarven rune for B. For king Brand. |
