Hi all I decided to finally start posting on here, instead of just gawking at everyone else's work , and where better to start than the new project that i'm beginning to work on. The project is inspired buy the 'Rise of the Witch King'- an add on for the Battle for Middle Earth 2 game. The game is basically a campaign depicting the Witch King's conquest of Arnor and then his subsequent defeat. |

So first up is one I actually finished before I decide to make this thread so he's not really a WIP. It's the barrow wight Karsh. The quick back story on this guy (quick google him for more details) is that he is a Ranger captain that gets trapped in a barrow by some wights and Morgomir (named wraith from the game) and turned into a wight. I'll put bellow the image i worked off and one of the mini itself. C+C welcome |

Next is the still very much WIP for Morgomir the Ringwraith. hes a really great character somewhere between a twilight wraith and the ones seen in the BOTFA. so far the parts used are: torso from barrow wight (with a bit of green stuff to extend the chain mail), scabard and arm from warrior of the dead, cloak from an easterling captain and the legs of an orc captain (altered with a bit of green stuff armour) |

Great conversions! Painting on the Barrow Wight is also very good. Very curious to see how the Ringwraith is going to turn out, but I'm sure it's gonna be great. |

Karsh looks great - believably could have been a ranger before his turning into a wight |

Hi all! Sorry for so little update on this (other projects got in the way :/) Anyway here are some pics of a hill troll I've been working on, along with one of the images i worked from/was inspired by. I went with a slightly different weapon choice because i needed him to just have a hand weapon. Painted pics coming soon (he is actually already painted i'm just waiting to get some decent pics of him ) |

Very nice conversions! The barrow-wight is excellent, and the trolls are coming along nicely. Good use of the Ogre club. I'm looking forward to more. |

Lovely conversions, glad to see you went full on for Morogmir and didn't just paint up a Twilight Ringwraith. |

Funny you should mention him. Got a bit more done on him the other day (was unsure about the size of the head but couldn't think of a better one to use). I removed the cape temporarily so i can decide whats happening with getting the hair re sculpted. Decided on his left arm resting on the scabbard, hoping he'll look like hes got an confident/arrogant stride going on when he's finished. This is one of the minis that will probably end up as an 'inspired by' rather than a direct copy as i'm not quite there in skill to get all of the details properly sculpted. (clearer pictures to come when he's closer to completion ) |

So here is the finished troll. TBH I didn't get to put as much time as I would have liked into painting this because he needed finishing for the recent Desolation of Stockport event. He actually performed amazingly in the list I took (800pts of Angmar with 1 point of might ) and only died twice ! |
