I'm a long time lurker, like hell of a long time... I got into lotr many moons ago, back when Mines of Moria came out. I was just a kid then, and so didn't really have the money to get into the hobby. Now that I'm a bit more of a functional adult, things are different. I'm starting the topic to motivate myself to do a little bit more, a little more frequently I'm going to start off my workshop with a gaming mat I made from faux fur. Few more photos, available in this album. I hope to post a lot |

Interesting idea - Might be slightly harder to move models than a flat mat, but it looks great! |

Welcome! This is an idea I've been toying with for Rangers of Shadow Deep, so it's nice to see one in action. |

I've seen that type of gaming board used more and more in the blogosphere. |

I'm with Mapper on this. I've seen people use these too good effect. What I like about yours is that you've done a nice job highlighting the fur in a natural way. Its subtle and looks very realistic. Keep the photos coming, zkajo! |

Long time no see! First of all, apologies for bad photo quality, but can't do better at the moment. I decided to build some Mordor boats, inspired by SBG magazine from years ago. The "bridge" is movable You can fit about 12-14 infantry models here. Now I'm working on some smaller ones, where you can only fit three guys |

All of this terrain looks great! My favorite is the wagon/cart which could be used for a number of different factions if you wanted. Thanks for sharing Zkajo! |
