Post subject:  Mordheim future?

In some of the previous topics about new LoTR models, it was mentioned that specialist games would get an overhaul and be supported. Has anyone heard about Mordheim? I'm asking because some of the minis look super cool and I'd love to secure some of them for decent prices. (I really like Aenur and the seer for example. Aenur just screams Battle Companies narrative to me.)

As for the actual game, I'm giving a long hard look at Frostgrave. Some of the minis there look fun too.

Honestly can't remember if Mordheim was among the games mentioned - the 40k equivalent Necromunda was though, so there certainly is a chance. That being said, the new version may well be set in a Age of Sigmar world and featuring none of the original models, like the Warhammer Quest/Silver Tower game. Similarly, Bloodbowl is to be re-released, but with a new set of teams.

Of course, the original game is still being played, and works perfectly well. Alternatively, Frostgrave offers a very similar idea (10 individual models fighting other groups, collecting loot, improving over time - hopefully), although the game mechanics have few similarities. Advantage of Frostgrave is that while a line of models exists, the game is meant to be played with whatever you feel like, and I've already seen a few former Mordheim bands enter the Frozen City, as well as other Warhammer models and LotR ones. If you haven't already, you could check out Ash's "Guerilla Miniature Games" or Owen's "Gaming with the Cooler" Youtube channels, both of them have featured both games in recent months.
