I've mentioned elswhere about this new Weird War 2 game and we have now elevated it to a full table top game rather than a board game, we are keeping the grid as it really does work well in streamlining the rules, here's our table with 2 Ally and 2 Axis preparing to do battle.

Great stuff Dave, I've just started painting my Axis figures and have cut some 90mm x 90mm MDF to do some trees the same as you. Those modular wall sections look absolutely great - did you make them yourselves?

I'll post some pics once I have a squad completed.

The walls I downloaded from BGG and printed off, I have added a few details for the consols etc: http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/36367/dust-tactics

Made the myself they literally only take a few minutes to do.
Cut mdf boards 93mm square.
Add a bit of cork bark.
Paint board and top of cork white (the snow scatter looks weak if you don't)
Add snow.
Buy the cheapest fir trees you can, think mine came in a bag of 25-40 or something, found them in a box at club.
Push into an up turned ice cream container.
Spray them white from above.
Drill holes in mdf.
Screw in trees

Job done.

Excellent, thanks for the clue to where the bunker walls came from. Here's the link if anyone else wants to find them: http://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/61124 ... nker-walls?

I have four tree sections under construction at the moment and will put these walls together on the weekend. Hopefully by then my Hotdog will be finished and I can show off my weathering techniques.

I just love the models in this game. The rules themselves are very good too and remind me of Poor Bloody Infantry - simple concept yet very tactical.

I've started weathering one of the American walkers - a Flamethrower tank I have christened 'Fireball.'
This is what it looked like straight out of the box:

And here's what it looks like now:

These models are exquisite, very well designed and so solidly based in 1940s armour. And they are so much fun to paint

Let me know how you get on weathering the Axis walkers, can't seem to do mine satisfactoraly, having trouble after stippling the white camo on.
