If I was to hold some sort of Lord of the Rings Gaming Day/Tournament - would onering members be interested in meeting up? I can host one easily down here just outside Exeter in Devon, or I can seek out a venue in or around Redditch, those are my easiest two bases. |

Mate, if I may, post your question under the Tournaments section. That way more people will see it and possibly attend I am not trying to be imperious. I just want your topic to get as much attention as possible |

Possibly, depending how many people turn up and for how many games (15+ with 3-4 games I would definitely come). |

Thats what I would be aiming for, 3-4 small games throughout the day, on a points based leaderboard with winners and best painted receiving prizes! |

I may be able to attend, if i can get someone to game with for a bit first to get me actually half decent again. Plus my missus is due to drop in June next year so it depends if she will let me.... |

Well, I have an update folks at last - I have a great venue in East Devon "The Golden Pond" in Rockbeare - run by a guy with (I think) the biggest Transformers collection in the country. I'm looking at dates in June 9th, 16th or 23rd this year an 11pm til 5pm full day (it will be a Sunday). Details are as follows at the moment - to be set in stone but this is what I'm looking at potentially; - Estimated cost £5 a player to enter - 3 to 4 games, played on a league style system (likely 4 games with a time limit) you move up and down depending on wins and losses. - Prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. - Might be included in entry or might be an extra £3-£5 (TBC) but full chinese buffet. - Well stocked bar available. - Free parking of course. - Myself and a couple of other local traders (guy that sells film memorabilia for example) will have stalls. - Painting service will be on hand to entertain the young-uns with free taster sessions as well as masterclass painting tutorials and open for bookings. - £1 a ticket raffle will be a go as well, lots of prizes all LOTR focused, anything from a paint pot or brush up to (TBC again) a £40 Green Dragon Gift Card or a Limited Edition box set. As well as the usual sweets and beers you get in your raffles. If all of that sounds good please let me know about interest etc The only major problem I have is providing enough scenery for all the tables, but I've got a minimal amount including a goblin town board and I'm sure @grungehog and The Precinct gaming club might be happy to lend in a hand if we pool our resources to construct a few epic gaming tables. |

Annoyingly this is too far for me. Over 200 miles. A lot of petrol for a day driving. |

I'd be happy to drive up to 3 other fellas if everyone put in for the petrol... it's a long way but be good to get behind it. I'm in Manchester and would be happy to pick people up if there was interest. |
