I saw that one. Very interesting.

The shaping tool from Home Depot was a good idea. Childrens paint texture tools are also useful.They are also very inexpensive.I picked these up at Walmart. You can also make your own from plastic or stiff card. I have several pair of shape cutting scissors that would make that a simple task.
Nice explanation for texturing foam core too.
