Hi all,

Does anyone have experience with ready-grass mats? The sort you might get from Woodland Scenics, etc.

I have picked one up and it is nicely made, I am just wondering whether it is supposed to be customized with custom flocking over the top of the existing ready-made flocking? I think it might look better overall if it were to match the rest of the scatter terrain my friends and I have made.

Thank you for any input on this!

Guess it depends on how you plan to store it. If you just roll it up after games you will want to keep it simple on top. Have you looked at the woodland scenics website and their videos on what to do on top of the mat, that might give you some ideas.

Thanks for the reply. I did end up adding custom flocking and it turned out great! Here are some before and after pics.

That added very nice detail to the mat - well done.
