Greetings.

I know I've seen pics here and around the web of how people simulate the long drapes of weeping willow trees but I can't find anything good for noob tree makers. I really want a few of these mixed into my dark forests I'm starting up so any help would be appreciated.

advTHANKSance! 8)

I tried my self to make a good willow tree. I am afraid there is not a good simple way. I will keep trying. This attempt used un twisted sting. I think it will have to be painted by hand.

That's not too bad for a large tree. I was hoping there would be some sort of modeling foliage or something at a craft store that can stand in (maybe doll hair, not that I'm thinking it out a bit).

This is sort of what I'm looking for: Image

Doll hair or pipe cleaners might work. Untwisting string is too labor intensive. If you use hair or pipe cleaner try attaching the flocking to the string before you put it on the tree. The base will need way more work if I decide to finish this tree.
