Having recently got back into SBG I have decided to make a dwarven mine/fortress board to along with my minis that I am currently painting.

I have done a rough sketch and will be using 2'x2' boards to allow for easy storage. I wish to have a 6'x6' board once it is fully complete but will be making one board at a time.

Has anyone got any advice before I start working on the board that would be helpful?

I will make a WIP so I can get continual feedback as I go along, and as this is my first board any guidence would be muchly appreciated :)

My advice is to pre-plan with a drawing, and then don't get frustrated when you decide you want to pull it apart and re-do it! I started a similar project myself, here are the results, hopefully inspiring: viewtopic.php?f=50&t=24288

A very similar question popped up on TLA a while ago. Check it out here: http://www.thelastalliance.com/viewtopi ... =16&t=4680
There should be many answers to be found in there. ;)
Also, you can find some pictures of my own Mines in my Gallery or here: http://www.thelastalliance.com/viewtopi ... =16&t=4687

So my piece of advice would be: be inspired and really think your project through very well. This is obviously true for every project, but even more for more ambitious ones!
