Hi. I've started a terrain project today and I'm looking for a little help. I made three basic Rohan buildings last year. Grand for representing a small village but now I'm attempting a more complex and larger version. I also will be giving it an interior and that's where I'm looking for some interesting ideas. I'll be doing the basics, fire pit, table and stools and furs or bed rolls but I would be interested in any other ideas for furnishings? I don't want it too cramped but maybe some weapons hanging on the wall for example? At the minute, I'm looking at this house as the village elder or local tribal leader for my other houses but in the future I hope to make more and it can revert to just a generic Rohan house in Edoras for example. So I don't want to over do the interior either. Also, as it'll be usable as a garrison etc, I want the windows to give LOS so any ideas on what I could use to make them look realistic while keeping LOS for gaming? I was thinking of a mesh but can't find anything round the place that would work? Thanks in advance for an help! |

if you wanted almost transparent windows then use plastic from things like salad pots or other things with see through hard plastic packing then you will see the inside and could always install lights from a model railway as a chandelier and have box in (removable) roof? |

Just a lore-wise comment: glass windows wouldn't suit the rather "medieval" houses at all, since glass was rare and way too expensive for "peasants".. use curtains or window shutters instead |

Yea I do want to keep the medieval/Viking style but wasn't really keen on just leaving the window open so what I might do is have open shutters on the outside and a rough curtain inside each window. Thanks for the input. |

Thanks Gene. I'll definitely have to pick up some off that tape next time I'm in a hardware. Looks perfect for what I want. |
