I picked up 5 nice 4Ground Norse building kits recently with the intention of turning them into a Rohan village. I've got my own ideas about what I should do to convert them. Like adding horse images to the wooden crossbeams at the front of the homes. Or placing them on a "stone" base, more in keeping with the GW theme.

Has anyone else used a 4 Ground building for Rohan?
Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm thinking that those cheap 99 cent travel chess sets have 4 good wooden horse sculpts (KNIGHTS) that would be great for sprucing up a building.

I also cut the heads off of some plastic toy soldier horses to mount on the crossbeams of some of the houses.

Ideas like that.

I've never used them, but they look like they would work very well.

Wargames Factory Ancient Germans has small horse heads on staffs that I have cut off for my Rohan houses - see page 2 & 3 of my wip viewtopic.php?f=50&t=28793&start=20 - mount the heads on shields or banners. You get five horse heads staffs/banners in a box, plus swords, quivers etc for other conversions if you don't want to use the Germans as given.
