I have been using HobbyLine Granit Farbe, which gives a nice, slightly textured surface for card, polystyrene and other smooth materials. My local craft shops don't sell it anymore and HobbyLine seems to have dropped it entirely from their catalogue. Do you know of any other products for similar effect? Heki has a product they call Grundfarbe Granit (http://www.amazon.de/Heki-7102-Heki-dur-Grundfarbe-Granit/dp/B000PHBGSS). Does someone know how this stuff works? -- Pasi |

I do not use textured paint. This is a UK based video that describes what I do instead. I often use natural sponges instead of my fingers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TahjfR-pd1M |

I've used textured paint from a DIY shop intended for paiting interior walls of houses. You get a large tub (2 litres maybe) for £15, so probably a lot cheaper than buying from a hobby shop. |

Thank you Oldman Willow, I knew I'd get good advice from you. I just watched the video and will try it tonight for my Weathertop. Polkovnik, thanks for the tip about DYI stores too. -- Pasi |
