The Admin and Competition Committee are extremely pleased to announce that the One Ring Awards are back!

Starting 1st of September, we will be accepting entries into the new version of these popular competitions.

The complete rules are posted here --> Please Read These Rules <-- so make sure you read them. If you don;t understand something, then please feel free to ask questions in here.

The software for the awards is undergoing redevelopment and testing in time for the awards, so please understand the current version is going to be severely broken over the next few weeks.

I'm looking forward to seeing what wonderful models you will enter, so get modelling and may your knife blades always stay sharp and your brushes pointy!

Sounds great, I'm looking forward to them!

I may have missed something regarding this, but are you running the 'Master Craftsman' theme in these awards, and if so, what is the theme this time?

Thanks

Temet Nosce

@Obrussa - yes, of course. The minis can be from any company, so long as they are suited to 25mm/28mm Lord of the Rings. Go crazy!

Hooray! The Awards are back! :D (Although merging the terrain/diorama categories puts a halt on any diorama plans I may have had... :P)

I too would like to know if the "Master Craftsman" thing is being run in the upcoming competition, and when we will find out the theme. :)

:?: Dagorlad, about the sculpting. Does it have to be 25 - 28mm tall, or could someone sculpt a troll, balrog or dragon from scratch? So, it would be lotr scale, but obviously a larger model.

@Natarn Ulka - Sure! The term 25/28mm is the wargaming scale - it represents the height of a human figure from his boots to his eye level - it's not the limit to the height of all figures, just human ones. So feel free to sculpt a balrog, an ent, a hill giant or a dragon (or all four!)

Well I've never entered a comp like this before or Golden Demon, so I'll definatley be enetering. Although I don't know whether or not I should enter Begginers, simply because I don't rank myself as a good painter/ modeller.

The 'One Ring Master Craftsman' - LOTR Themed Challenge will
be running this time and the committee has already decided on a theme.

We will announce the theme in the next few days ;-)

I really hope to get something done for these awards!! Although I'll have a lack of time... Going on vacation, and then packing stuff and moving out on the 1st of sept... But I'm sure I'll find some time between to paint at least 1 figure.. :)

Good to see it's back! :D

Is it allowed to make a WIP of something you will enter for the awards?
