Over the last 6 month, there has been a lot of posting of images within the forum threads...especially within the 'Work In Progress' forum. A lot of these threads have really started to get 'Picture Heavy' and can take a lot of time to load, plus the size of the images within the forum may work fine for members with larger screens, but simply do not fit into the size of smaller screens. EXAMPLE: I have a 19" monitor, and within a lot of threads, I have to use the Scroll Bars to see and read everything...its simply not user friendly. Could we please ask all members who plan to post images within their threads to try their best to adhere to some simple rules... 01. First and foremost, when naming your thread, please end it with Pic Heavy, so people know what to expect. 02. Wherever possible, please 'resize' your images to '500-600' pixels wide and no more by using a Paint Program before uploading and posting. 02. Additional: For any members who are uncapable of doing this because they dont have a Paint Program, feel free to email me your images and I will resize them and send them back to you. I usually check my email daily, and will endeavour to reply within 24 hours. Or, if you have a program and just need advice, again email me or PM me and I will help. 03. We are all sometimes excited and pleased with a piece of work we have done, however please refrain from posting images that show the same piece of work from 76 different angles 2-3 different angles is sufficient ! |

Even better than a paint program for resizing images is photobucket. Just upload and away you go! This is just a tip for people having a hard time resizing images as I did until I found photobucket. KJ Necromancer |

It wasn't punny though... Anyway, we are only co-operating because we realise that Brian is a grumpy old man, and it will be funny soon enough when he's old(er) and wants us to make the pictures bigger so he can make them out through his dimming vision. (luv u B!) |

This does get quite annoying at times. Is it at all possible to get an Image size restriction of say 640*480 pixels (seems a reasonable size to me)? That's the image size I usually keep as my maximum for any pictures I post in the forums. |

Understand what you mean Jake, but I dont think we need to go to those extremes yet, recoding the site is daunting and there is only one person who can do it, and we all know what his work schedule is like. Reason for the post was to bring it to members attention and I am sure this will nip it in the bud for a few month. Or maybe we just ban every member with less than a 40" monitor @Dorth: Shut Up ! @ Gareew: Shut Up and dont entertain him, we have been waiting over 12 month for him to leave, but this will only happen if we all ignore him !!! @Dorth: Only joking |

Fair enough, this oughta be enough anyway. Any threads in this section of the forum that are new or have new posts are usually the first I check out, followed by Welcome New One Ringers. Besides, people are SUPPOSED to read all these kinds of threads anyway |
