Post subject: Company / Formation Upgrades

I know in formations you can buy upgrades for the command company (usually a captain, banner, musician, shaman etc). However, I wanted to ask when and where the bonuses these upgrades effect the (command) company and the entire formation. Examples greatly appreciated.

None of them effect only the command company. All benefits apply to the entire formation.
