I'd expect that army to get slaughtered. He had what, 275 points for regular guys?

Thats 3 extremely hard to kill monsters, two flinging magic backed by Druzhag summoning wargs and more spells of ruin. The balrog hid out in some stone ruins in the centre and kept shooting spells, but even with siege Uruk hai he took some digging out. When we called it a draw, the dragon was on 13 wound counters and I had toasted the balrog and the giant.. both being taken to 13 wound counters too. One extremely hard to kill gets all the firepower and dies.. but 3.. well by the time one is out the way the other two are on top of you heh. Unlike Very Hard To kill, a few might points arent going to do much to polish off the dragon, Giant or Balrog in a hurry.

We once did a big multi-player game with 2 mumaks a dragon and a stone giant and I think only one of the mumaks lasted beyond turn 3.

They can drag on a long time though, Forgottenlore. I had one game vs a dragon where its base must have been covered in wound tokens and another where I'd bagged it by turn three using a Single Wraith. Monsters are just random that way.

True. I had an opponent who was getting frustrated when we first started playing because my cave troll kept lasting to 5-6 wound tokens.

Of course I was getting frustrated because he couldn't seem to hit the ground hevwas standing on, much less the enemy.
