I just found the rule in elronds stats that says he has goblinbane. does this apply to his company or just his attack? also balins and galadriels spirit grasp. it would seem strange if only one attack got rerolls, a waste of time if you ask me.
any thoughts welcome :-D

Strict reading of the rules states that this would not apply to the whole formation or even the whole company. This is something that we are all waiting on the FAQ for. It is commonly believed that these rules were added for "completeness" and that they were never meant to do anything. Terror seems to be the only rule that breaks this, as it does apply to the company the epic hero is in. I believe some people play it where all rules work similarly to that. Personally I think that the idea is silly. Put a Nazgul in a company and suddenly they strike like spirits? Doesn't make much sense to me.

So if playing strictly by the rules, if an epic hero has bane, pathfinders, etc. it does not mean anything at all.
