Recently me and spuds had a discussion about the most overpriced and underpriced units in WotR. I found it pretty interesting, so I thought I'd continue the discussion here. For those of you who are going to ask what I mean by overpriced/underpriced, I mean that ones that you would choose if you had the oppurtunity.

For most underpriced unit I'm going for Khamul the Easterling (I'm expecting him to make a lot of appearences in this thread). For most overpriced I'm going for Gandalf the White.

deorwine, captain of the royal guard.
i cant understand why an epic hero is the same amount of points as a hobbit civic leader (deorwine has f5 to hobbits f2 and deor has epic move epic sacrofise so why the same points)

It's the same case with Thrydan. And also, civic leaders are c***. What about overpriced?

Underpriced: Easily Corsair Arbalesters.

Overpriced: From the top of my head, the first one that comes to mind is the Witch-king.

Although I feel that those are both comparatively (at the the WK is).

Most underpriced is easily the Arbalesters (unless houseruled..) but I would give a mention to Gandalf the Grey because.... Gandalf the White is terribly over-priced as an upgrade.

I honestly think that Gandalf the Grey should at least not have 'blinding light' and 'touched by destiny' and they should come with the White version.

then gandalf the grey is really overpriced and gandalf the white is still a bit overpriced

for evil

overpriced: mordor shamans (who needs when you have ringwraiths),spectral host, fate dark shrine( used it in 2 battles against my brother and it was rubbish).

underpriced: all ringwraiths apart from witch king (25 points more than a shaman for lots of extra stuff), durburz and druzhag, thrydan wolfsbane, kardush the firecaller.

i think the point in druzhag and durburg (or watever there called) are meant to be cheap so the goblins can have macsimum numbers, its only when there allied they become an annoyance!!

evilatmind: I didn't think about Fates/Fortunes - almost all of them are way overpriced. However, something to point out is that the Withc-king is 100 points more than a shaman... You have to pay 75 points more for him than any other Ringwraith.
